Totals for April

Well it's now the end of April and time to tally up my stuff.  It's been a great month with 1 really high ticket item.  I will take photos and post everything in the next few days.

Just got some free samples today!

I just received samples of Estee Lauder Lip Balm and a Guerlain Kiss Kiss Sample. No they are not for me, they are for my wife. Besides I can't help it their free :)

Junk Mail

Alot of people ask me if I get alot of junk mail and telemarketing phone calls since I fill out all these forms. Answer: YES! Phone calls, not so much but yes obviously I do get alot of email. Do I care? Nope! That's what the delete button is for. I kind of think of it like I'm getting paid to delete emails.

I won, I won...a broken tv!!

Long story short, a few months ago i fill out an offer for a free sony 40" lcd tv. The weeks pass by and I totally forget about it since i normally only end up getting products on about 1/4 of the offers I sign up for. I come home from work one day and see a giant sony box on my porch!  I drag the box inside, open it up to find my beautiful new tv with a giant crack in the screen.  I called sony & they said they are not responsible, UPS says they didn't do it.  Now I have a brand new 40" hdtv that is broken and I can't afford to fix it.

Here is the form in case anyone is interested.  It had to have been the shipping companies fault.  I see how they throw those boxes around.    

I've tried selling this on Craigslist with no luck.  Too many people say they are going to show up and never do so I'm giving it away.  It'll be out on the curb if anyone wants it.

Who doesn't love Cheerios :)

I don't know why I signed up for free Cheerios since I haven't eaten breakfast since 1989. I'm just not a breakfast person. If they were bacon flavored I might consider eating breakfast more. Regardless I now have 2 boxes that were delivered to my doorstep. My prediction is they will become dust magnets in the back of my pantry for the next 5+ years.

Gift Cards

It seems like i've been averaging at least 1 or 2 giftcards per month for the past 4 months. I havn't gotten any really high dollar ones like the $1000 walmart but usually $10-50 for restaurants like Chilis, Applebees, Redlobster...etc. Some for i-tunes and a couple for department stores. I usually give the ones I don't use away for birthday gifts & stuff.
